Interlibrary Loan
BCC Library offers interlibrary loan service through SUNY Information Delivery Services (IDS.) The software interface you use for this service is called ILLiad. It works a little differently from the old system, but it is easy to use. Here is what you need to know:
- You must create a personal account to use the service
- IDS requests for books will be delivered within 72 hours
- IDS requests for articles will be delivered within 48 hours
- IDS requests for articles will be delivered via the Web
What are the benefits of IDS?
- Fast delivery times
- Convenient Web-based service
- Access to the library collections of over a dozen SUNY colleges
Only BCC students, faculty, staff and off-campus borrowers with valid BCC library cards may use this form to request materials not owned by Tyrrell Library.
Before submitting a request make sure the library does not already own the item you want by checking the library's catalog. We will request items that are already owned by the library only when they are checked out to another patron.
Important: Each interlibrary loan request requires a separate form.
For each Interlibrary loan request, click on BACK and then type over bibliographic information from previous requesting, clicking again on SEND ILL REQUEST.
