The Library has an extensive Course Reserve collection which features materials placed on reserve by instructors, and textbooks purchased by the Library. The 72-hour book quarantine rule will apply to Course Reserve items. As such, we can no longer circulate individual items several times per day, which presents major challenges for students that rely on course reserves for their required texts.
If you usually access materials required for your course by borrowing from our Reserves Collection:
- Reach out to your professor first - to find out if they have already determined how to help you access the materials.
- Although the library has many ebooks, unfortunately for most textbooks, the library will NOT have an e-book version. You can do a quick search on QuickSearch to check.
Scan Requests of Reserve Textbooks
- If you find your textbook in QuickSearch, log in to request that we scan a chapter for you.
- If you do not find your textbook in QuickSearch, log into your Interlibrary Loan account, and select "Book Chapter Request". Fill out the request form with the information about your textbook from your course syllabi.
Scans will be emailed to you in 2 - 3 business days. Due to copyright law, we may be limited as to the amount that we can scan for you at one time.
